Barça join Arsenal and Tottenham in race for Sociedad’s Griezmann

Barcelona are reportedly eyeing Real Sociedad forward, Antoine Griezmann as a potential replacement for Chilean winger, Alexis Sanchez, who has failed to find the form Barcelona were hoping for upon his transfer from Udinese two summers ago.

According to several reports in the English media, Tottenham have been targeting the young Frenchman, but may face stiff competition from Barcelona.

Meanwhile, Arsenal appear desperate to buy back Real Sociedad’s Mexican forward, Carlos Vela for €4 million, but Vela has no interest in returning to London and is full focused on helping Real Sociedad qualify for the Champions League.

Arsenal are also reportedly interested in submitting a formal €5 million bid for Griezmann, leading many to speculate that the Gunners could make an offer for the duo, something the “small” Basque side may be able to turn down if they do indeed remain in their current fourth place position in the La Liga table.
