Arsenal to Launch January Move for £25m Talented Goal-Scoring Winger

Arsenal are ready to step-up their interest in Real Sociedad wide-man Antoine Griezmann according to Sports Direct News.
Arsene Wenger has long been a fan of the French youngster, who has been in sparkling form this term, and the La Liga attacker has publicly stated that Man United are also keen on acquiring his services, saying;

“I know that some English clubs are looking at me and Manchester United is on that list.

“It’s nice to hear that but it doesn’t influence my work.”

Tottenham, Barcelona and Juventus are also said to be interested in Griezmann who has a £25m release clause written in into his contract.

Arsenal have had dealings with Real Sociedad in the recent past, selling Mexican forward Carlos Vela to the club in July 2012 after a successful loan spell at the Basque club, therefore Wenger may feel he could successfully convince the club to sell.

The 22 year old wide-man is into his fifth season in the Sociedad first team set-up and is considered one of the most consistent performers in the Spanish top tier and has been in fine form thus far this season, scoring eight goals in ten La Liga starts.

With both Theo Walcott and Lukas Podolski suffering repeated injuries and with Gervinho having been sold to AS Roma there is perhaps scope for the addition of a fresh winger addition to the Emirates Stadium squad.
